The world's white carbon black giant Cabot Company recently issued a price increase notice, announcing that starting from May 30, it will increase the price of fumed silica and silica sol worldwide by as much as 15%.

Cabot said that the product increase was mainly due to the increase in raw material and transportation costs, as well as the growing market demand for the company's products.

Cabot and Hengyecheng have jointly invested 0.4 billion RMB to build a fumed silica factory in Wuhai, Inner Mongolia, with an annual production capacity of 8000 tons. It is expected to be completed in 2019 and will further expand its share in China's silica market after it is put into production.

At present, China's silica and silicone market is still hot, and the products continue to run at a high level, reaching a historical point.
